Mini Grid Designer

HUMLESS seeks Worker with expertise on mini grid projects, mini grid control applications, and distributed energy resource management to lead commercialization of green technologies. Will research and integrate software/hardware for mini grid applications. Will work with major suppliers/R&D engineers to advance the development and commercialization of alternative energy technologies in mini grid power systems integration and a variety of cutting-edge smart grid initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct management activities in mini grid design and implementation.
  • Design complex, industry-driven solutions for mini grids.
  • Direct installation, integration, commissioning and testing & fault-finding of mini grid systems.
  • Analyze energy usage data for design applications.
  • Plan and organize multifaceted, interdependent mini grid components.
  • Drive project deliverables, templates and standards (e.g., business process designs).
  • Estimate costs of implementing Distribution SCADA in utilities and in sales support through development of responses to OMS related RFIs and RFPs.
  • Advise others regarding green practices or environmental concerns.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering or Mathematics
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in advanced power systems modeling and analytics and in algorithm development for autonomous grids.
  • Experience must demonstrate fundamental knowledge of mini grid industry and design.
  • Proven track record of successful performance in mini grid industry, Smart Grid and SCADA.
